Update on her growth and development

We received updates on her growth and development today.

She turned one year old the day after the social worker saw her. She is now approx. 20 lbs. and 29 inches tall. This puts her just above the 25th percentile for weight and about the 5th percentile for height. It looks like she is catching up in weight for sure. We were a little surprised that she actually weighed that much. We are thrilled that she appears to be doing so well and thriving on the good food and attention from the foster mother.

She is still hitting all of the developmental markers such as sitting by herself, crawling, pulling up to stand, pushing her walker, waves, saying a few words and interacting with the foster mother appropriately for her age. The foster mother reports that Dan Bee is a very good natured baby and she likes to take a bath. This is really good news since Simon still screams when he has to take a bath or shower. (He has never been a fan of water, therefore bathtime is not a pleasant thing at our house.)

So, a huge praise the Lord for this report. Thank you again to everyone who has and is currently lifting our family and this special child up in your prayers.
